This fee covers set-up, break-down, cleaning before and after your function and use of the Mansion for up to five hours. Beyond five hours, the charge is pro-rated at $300 per hour. The site fee is $2,000.00 for Saturday functions. Friday and Sunday functions are subject to a $1,500.00 room fee. Other times are subject to agreement. Since The Mansion is a custom house for functions, this fee structure is an outline and is subject to change or discussion. There are a variety of scenarios that can accommodate different sized groups and receptions.
A quote will be sent by the rental company once the parties involved confirm the date of each said function. A tent is required for any parties over 65 guests.
A gratuity is affixed to all parties, the gratuity/service fee will be based on staffing.
6% CT state sales tax will be affixed to food and liquor. If you are tax exempt, please forward your number well in advance to keep billing arrangements simplified.
Bar Fees
$2.00 per guest is charged to cover set up, juices, sodas, mixers, garnishment, ice and napkins. Liquor is charged by consumption to the nearest tenth of each bottle. Beer and wine is also charged by consumption per bottle. Prices furnished upon request for specific spirits. Estimates will be provided upon request. An estimate is based on $20.00 per person for a full open bar, and $15.00 per person for beer and wine only. The true costs would not be know until the conclusion of each said function. We reserve the right to limit and control the amount of alcoholic beverages consumed by guests on our premises.
$100.00 set up fee will be charged for each bar.
On occasion, there may be the necessity for an extra charge on intricate or special set-up arrangements.
Because of the excessive use of linens for special receptions, there will be a charge for linen. The price will be determined by the number of guests and by your selection of linen.
: Directed Parking - the driver is assisted by valet in dropping passengers at entrance to restaurant and proceeds to parking lot to be directed to a parking space - $100.00.
We will be pleased to assist you in arranging for flowers and centerpieces, musicians or any entertainment to compliment your special occasion. Any and all decorations are subject to approval. Nothing can be tacked, pinned, taped, etc. to walls, ceilings, floors, doors or windows without prior permission from the management of The Mansion.
Custom carved ice sculptures are available. Prices and styles furnished upon request.
The Mansion can arrange for your every need for in-house or off premise catering.
Please arrange with your musicians and bands well in advance regarding arrival time, space allotments, special electrical connections, ending time and any other special needs. We will do our best to accommodate.
The Mansion can create beautiful cakes that will truly enhance your special occasion. However, a small table tent or business card that can be on display throughout the function must accompany incoming cakes. A charge of $1.50 per person cake cutting fee will be affixed to cover handling, service and use of plates.
Guaranteed counts for functions for the number of persons attending will be required 15 business days prior to the function date. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to provide this guarantee; otherwise, the tentative expected attendants would be the guarantee. All charges will be based upon the guarantee or the actual number of guests served, whichever is greater. No reduction in the final guarantee will be allowed within 72 hours of the date of the function. Food from buffets cannot be taken home as The Mansion does prepare extra so that you have a bountiful amount during the function.
The Mansion requires a $2,000.00 deposit to hold a date for a major event. Deposits for other events will be based upon the type and size of function. Upon receipt and approval of detail sheet, The Mansion will work with you to schedule regular payments on the balance. The final estimated balance is due two days prior to the function. Any unpaid balance or refund (which may include final guest counts for food and/or beverages, additions or deletions to initial proposal, etc.) will be settled at the end of the event. Payment can be made by Cash or Check only, as we do not accept credit cards for parties and functions without prior arrangement.
Cancellation of major events (i.e. weddings, proms, class reunions, etc.) made six months prior to the event will result in the return of deposit less any expenditures directly incurred for your event. If cancellation is made less than six months prior to the date of the function, your deposit will not be refunded unless we can rebook the date with a similar event. For other functions, a thirty day notice of cancellation will result in the return of your deposit.
